Once Captured Priest

There was a man
Who thought he was the One
To save the pagan land
He went to the cold north
Full of faith with book and the cross

But the scorn in his eyes had his fate changed

Now in the name of his God
He is to weed out those men
But they were strong enough, he didn’t expect
And soon he was supposed to be dead
Once captured priest who spoke of God
Now he walks towards his doom
And his heart thrills him all

Still the pride in his soul and the hope for salvation

They lead him towards the woods where his destiny awaits
At the place he was blinded by the flesh of the blade of axe
Truth corrupted and false will be put to the test
Step by step his death becomes as sure as his God unreal

He puts his head one the bole and he prays
To the God who left him alone

The edge of axe falling down
Cuts his skin spine and throat
The preacher’s head now lies on the ground
And the body shivers like from cold
The life of his now is gone
And it ended as fast as single blow
That’s how ends the man who though
His faith is better than our own
