Solstice twilight paints the trees
In a psychedelic gloom
An unseen presence heaves and breathes
In the forest's holy room
The tarn reflects the midnight skies
In a burning liquid haze
Your eye it drinks and sanity flies
As the waters mee your gaze

You hear them walk upon the breeze
That dithers in the grove
Over ground interred in autumn leaves
That words can cause to move
Their song attracts a motley horde
To celebrate the throne
Upon which sits the verdant lord
Two fingers at the moon

Pandemoni!
You fall to your knees
As their kingdom ascends
From the roots of the trees

Poisonous malice
Empty the chalice!

Seven sisters in bloom
Scented feet on your tomb
A midsummer's doom

Creatures of the heathen night
Some dance and others crawl
And some anticipate the flight
To the honored mountain hall
They haunt you on the humming air
That whispers 'round your head
When from the nightmare cold and bare
You wake up in your bed
