Stoppin' the passing time
Just for a while
Tears of sadness
Run through my face
When the kids
Movin' in front of me
Like proud images of a movie

Drunk with their security
I would like to be like them
Instead I was watchin' them hidin'
Dressed in my body suit
That hardly covered my wristles
Shall an' wore too much
An' when I finally grew
An' when I could watch 'em between the eyes

An' when my hair
Proudly covered my shoulders
I believed to live for somethin'
But now I cry, an' it's only a vision from the fact
Now that I burnt more than I could do
I look outside my window
Closed in indifference with solitude
A bitter reality than I could bear
